• Add a picture to your profile. Other members are going to enjoy seeing "a face with the name". If you don't feel comfortable using your own picture, you can always choose a picture of something that represents your personality. • Tell people a little bit about yourself on your profile page. You could list your interests, hobbies, goals or tell everyone why you are here. If you have a blog, leave the link to it on your profile and gain new readers. It is up to you if you want to say a little or a lot. Just say something to get yourself started and on your way to networking. You can always edit your profile at any time.
• Add tags to your profile. These tags help people with similar interests to find you. Examples of tags might be: football, hiking, medicine, yoga, cooking, your college, favorite t.v. show, or whatever strikes your fancy.
• Now that your profile is ready to show the world, jump into the community! Check out the forums and find a conversation that interests you. Better yet, start a new conversation all your own! After that, you can look at all of the groups to see if there any you would like to join. If not, start a new group and invite others to join with you.
• Meeting new people and chatting online can be a lot of fun. Yet, it is important to keep safety in mind. If someone is asking you questions about yourself that you do not feel comfortable answering, then do not answer them. If your instinct is telling you something does not feel right, then trust your instinct. It is better to play it safe.
• Got stuff to sell? Even if you are here to socialize, remember that you can post a free classified ad  at any time. Sell your car, baby items, furniture or whatever! Why pay listing fees when you can list it here for free? You can also use the classifieds to post events such as yard sales, community events or anything you would like to bring attention to. Don't forget, it is also fun to browse the classified ads. You just might find exactly what you are looking for and make a great deal!
• No one likes spam. If someone is spamming you, there is a way to report misconduct. You can also flag classifieds or messages as spam. In turn, DO NOT spam others. It will get you nowhere but banned from the site.
• It is always more fun to have your friends and family on the same site as you. You can easily invite them all to join you on Flugpo. Just click on the invite contacts link and you can upload your whole address book if you want. Flupgo will send them an invitation from you to join in on the fun.
• If you buy something from someone on Flugpo, once again, keep safety in mind. If you are meeting someone to pick up the item, consider these ideas: meet in a public place and maybe bring a friend along with you. If you are satisified with the transaction, you can leave a testimonial for the seller on their profile page. That will help other members of the community get a better idea of the reputation of that seller.

Tips For Business Profiles:

• Once you have signed up for your business profile, enhance your profile to promote your business in the best way possible:
  • Add a primary picture to your profile. Your primary picture could be your company logo, a picture of your product, or any picture that best represents the theme of your business. Having a picture on your profile page makes your business look more appealing and recognizable.  (Click here if you need help uploading photos)
  • Fill out the "business overview" section of your profile. Tell potential visitors everything possible about your business. The more detailed you are with your description, the more likely they are to take in interest in what you have to offer.
  • If you have a website or a blog that is part of your business, be sure to leave a link to it in your business overview. Invite people through your description to visit your sites.
  • Add tags to your profile. You should use tags that describe your business. For example: used cars, environmentally friendly products, appliances, moving services, etc....  Brainstorm for a few minutes and come up with as many pertinent tags as possible. These tags will help your business be found through searches.
  • Add additional pictures to your profile. Although you have already set your primary picture, you can upload more pictures. These photos could show more of your inventory or could be examples of work you have done. This gives people a way to browse through your portfolio.
  • Don't forget to tell everyone about any sales or specials you have going on.

• Once your profile is complete, you should get started on posting your classified ads: 
  • A detailed ad will almost always be more successful than a short 1 or 2 sentence ad.
  •  If possible, post an applicable photo with your classified ad.
  • Add tags to your classified ads in the same manner described above.
  • Post your ad to your region! A lot of people think "global" is the best way to post however that is not correct. Users only see classifieds from Regions Below them. So if you post in Global only users who have set their region as Global will see your ad. Though if you post at a college then all areas encompassing the college from the metro area to global will see the ad.
  • If you want people to visit a particular website in relation to your ad, leave a link to it within the body of the ad. In other words, make your ad full of as much information as possible so that viewers will be informed.
  • Post your ads often. This will keep your business in the spotlight more and also help get you found more often in search results. It really is free advertising at its best so a few minutes a day or several times a week is well worth it!
